Mildura Country Music Fest begins! September 23, 2010 , 1:59 PM by Jennifer Henderson    Can you imagine spending eleven weeks sleeping in a swag in the back of a ute? Country music singer Adam Kilpatrick can because that's what he has been doing as he tours around the country before coming to Mildura. It's just a sign of the dedication of country music singers who try their hardest to travel and perform in rural areas across Australia. More than 100 country music singers will converge on Mildura (as well as their fans)  as the Mildura Country Music Festival gets underway. Adam will be performing as part of a 10 day festival line up, with mostly free concerts open to any fans of a country tune or the country curious. Adam played his song 'Dreamer' for our open mic.    ” - Jennifer Henderson

Following the radio success of his first two singles Modern Day Pirates and Pink Flamingos, South East Queensland singer/songwriter and entertainer ADAM KILPATRICK is back with his latest radio offering from his Modern Day Pirates EP produced by ROB WILSON. Chicks In Utes is a fun-filled story that emerged when Adam was sitting around with some mates having a few drinks. A friend pulled up in an old ute, covered in mud, and with a huge smile she said "where's the party boys?". Adam replied "I've gotta write a song about girls like you!" and Chicks In Utes was born. This is a song that is for the ute driving, rum drinking, B&S and rodeo-going girls from all over this great land, and it's a great example of the tongue-in-cheek humour that has become a popular part of Adam's live shows.”
